Westview Studio is a custom woodworking shop. We create the finest pieces available using traditional joinery and techniques, locally sourced materials (when possible) and modern finishes and hardware.

Jesse Kemp started his professional woodworking career at the age of 12, when he built a walnut plant stand for his grandmother. He has continued to evolve over the ensuing 30 years, with time spent as a salvage diver in the U.S. Navy, as an underwater robot operator in the offshore petroleum industry, and working in various construction fields. Several years involved working in other shops- Hull Historical Millwork in Ft. Worth, TX, and Massoth and Company in Springfield, MO. In 2007, Jesse started the first version of what is now Westview Studio.

We seek interesting projects with interesting people. This has led to remodeling mountaintop cabins in the Brushy mountains of New Mexico, doing cabinet work in Montana, re-assembling an historical piece of evidence in the basement of the FBI Headquarters, creating reproduction doors for a remote cabin on a ranch, and building lots of furniture, cabinets and millwork in various locations. While we focus on building furniture, we are also open to other types of jobs- millwork, doors, saunas, built-ins, etc.
