Westview Studio owner Jesse Kemp started his professional woodworking career at the age of 12, when he built a walnut plant stand for his grandmother. He has continued to evolve over the ensuing 32 years, with time spent as a salvage diver in the U.S. Navy, as an underwater robot operator in the offshore petroleum industry, and working in various construction fields. Several of those years involved working in other shops- Hull Historical Millwork in Ft. Worth, TX, and Massoth and Company in Springfield, MO, among others. In 2007, Jesse started the first version of what is now Westview Studio.

We seek interesting projects with interesting people. This has led to building custom homes in Texas and Missouri, remodeling mountaintop cabins in the Brushy mountains of New Mexico, doing cabinet work and remodeling in Montana, re-assembling an historical piece of evidence in the basement of the FBI Headquarters, and building lots of furniture, cabinets and millwork in various locations.
